ANGELA TUITE - CREATIVE ARTIST

Angela is a native of Westmeath, now living in Edgeworthstown, Co Longford.
She is a self taught artist and paints from the heart.   Her work is influenced by the impressionists, working mostly on both silk and slate. While the majority of her work deals with natural based themes such as landscapes/treescape, still life and abstract, Angela also explores the magical, mythological essence of nature with fairy like paintings. Her work has grown from her love of colour, texture and fabric and the lustre of silk adds vibrancy to her paintings with the running and blending of colours to create a unique magical effect.
Her individually designed and hand painted silk scarves are much sought after.
Angela has worked closely with children and adults facilitating numerous workshops in her own county and throughout Ireland.
Angela has exhibited widely at home and abroad, and her work is in many private collections.
